The above verses point at the heart of the message delivered to the Children of Israel. They were provided with good teachings and the book of the law. But they abandon the truth, falsified the scripture, fabricated lies (Traditions of Talmud, the Mishnah and Gemara), and thus became rebellious in the sight of God.
Quran 62:5. The example of those who were given the Torah, then failed to uphold it, is like the donkey carrying great works of literature. Miserable indeed is the example of people who rejected God's revelations. God does not guide the wicked people.
Deuteronomy 31:16."And the Lord said
to Moses, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise
up, and go after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be
among them, and will forsake Me, and break My covenant which I have made with
them.
31:17. Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that Day, and I will
forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured,
and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that
Day, are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
31:18. And I will surely hide My face in that Day for all the evils which they
shall have done, in that they are turned unto other gods."
Moses was hundred and twenty years old when he made the following prophecy before his death:
[Deuteronomy 32:27] "For I know your
rebellion, and your stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day,
you have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death?
32:28. Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I
may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record
against them.
32:29. For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and
turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in
latter days; because you will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him
to anger through the work of your hands.
Quran 5:64. "The Jews even said, "God's hand is tied down!" It is their hands that are tied down. They are condemned for uttering such a blasphemy. Instead, His hands are wide open, spending as He wills. For certain, your Lord's revelations to you will cause many of them to plunge deeper into transgression and disbelief. Consequently, we have committed them to animosity and hatred among themselves until the Day of Resurrection. Whenever they ignite the flames of war, God puts them out. They roam the earth wickedly, and God dislikes the evildoers."
Quran 7:167. Additionally, your
Lord has decreed that He will raise up against them people who will inflict
severe persecution upon them, until the Day of Resurrection. Your Lord is most
efficient in enforcing retribution, and He is certainly the Forgiver, Most
Merciful.
7:168. We scattered them among many communities throughout the land. Some of
them were righteous, and some were less than righteous. We tested them with
prosperity and hardship, that they may return.
Quran 17:4. We addressed the Children of
17:5. “When the first time comes to
pass, we will send against you servants of ours who possess great might, and
they will invade your homes. This is a prophecy that must come to pass.
17:6. “Afterwards, we will give you a
turn over them, and will supply you with a lot of wealth and children; we will
give you the upper hand.
On September 16, 1982,
17:7. “If you work righteousness, you work righteousness for your own good, but if you commit evil you do so to your own detriment. Thus, when the second time comes to pass, they will defeat you and enter the mosque, just as they did the first time. They will wipe out all the gains you had accomplished.”
God Is Doing Everything
Quran 8:17. It was not you who killed them; God is the One who killed them. It was not you who threw when you threw; God is the One who threw. But He thus gives the believers a chance to earn a lot of credit. God is Hearer, Omniscient.
A true Muslim, a true Submitter to God, IS NOT and MUST NOT be a murderer. The worst situation a true Muslim may face is when he or she must take on the task of taking the life of another human being. For a true Muslim, a Submitter to God, it should be easier to give up his or her own life rather than taking the life of another person. In a war situation when a God fearing soldier kills a human being, he or she gets devastated. Hence the revelation of the above verse. "It was not you who killed them; God is the One who killed them." The above verse in the Quran (8:17), signifies the fact that GOD IS DOING EVERYTHING.
