GOD

Quran 59:22. He is the One GOD; there is no other god besides Him. Knower of all secrets and declarations. He is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

59:23. He is the One GOD; there is no other god besides Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, the Most Dignified. GOD be glorified; far above having partners.

59:24. He is the One GOD; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belongs the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

Greatness of GOD

Quran 39:67. They can never fathom the greatness of GOD. The whole earth is within His fist on the Day of Resurrection. In fact, the universes are folded within His right hand. Be He glorified; He is much too high above needing any partners.

"Supported by the Quran's formidable mathematical code, we are taught that our universe is the smallest and the innermost of seven universes (41:12, 55:33, 67:3-5, & 72:8-12). Meanwhile, our scientific advances have shown us that our galaxy, the Milky Way, is 100,000 light years across, and that our universe contains a billion such galaxies and a billion trillion stars, plus countless heavenly bodies. Our universe is estimated to span distances in excess of 20,000,000,000 light years.

 Count the Stars!

If we take only a quintillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000) of the stars and simply count them [from 0 to quintillion] one count per second, day and night, this will take 32 billion years (more than the age of the universe). That is how long it will take to just "count" them; but GOD "created" them. Such is the greatness of GOD.

We can appreciate the vastness of our universe if we imagine going on a space odyssey. When we leave the planet Earth towards the sun, at the speed of light, we reach the sun after 93,000,000 miles in 8 minutes and 19 seconds. It will take us more than 50,000 years at the speed of light to exit our galaxy. From the outer limit of the Milky Way, our planet Earth is invisible. Not even the most powerful telescope can detect our tiny "Earth."

We have to spend more than 2,000,000 years at the speed of light to reach our next door galaxy. At least 10,000,000,000 years, at the speed of light, must be spent to reach the outer limit of our universe. From the outer limit of our universe, even the Milky Way is like a speck of dust in a large room.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3zqsqSDK4g

After 10,000,000,000 years traveling at the speed of light, we reach a point at which
we can have a theoretical view of our universe's large scale structure.

"It is a spectacular tapestry, so vast and diverse in its design
that the power of its creator must truly surpass all human understanding."

Our universe is the seventh universe, surrounded by the sixth universe, which is surrounded by the fifth universe, and so on. Can you imagine the vastness of the first, the outermost universe? No number exists to describe the circumference of the first universe. This incomprehensible vastness is "within GOD's hand." From the outer limit of the outermost universe, where is the planet Earth? How significant is it? On the infinitesimal mote called Earth, such minuscule creatures as Mary, Jesus, and Mohammed lived. Yet, some people set up these powerless humans as gods!

GOD's greatness is represented not only by the fact that He holds the seven universes in His hand, but also by the fact that He fully controls every atom, even subatomic components, everywhere in the greater universe (6:59, 10:61, & 34:3)."

The above quotation is from the Appendix 6 of the Authorized English Version of the Quran. The translation that was done from the original Arabic text by GOD's Messenger of the Covenant, Dr. Rashad Khalifa.

GOD's creation is flawless
"He created seven universes in layers.
You do not see any imperfection in the creation by the Most Gracious.
Keep looking; do you see any flaw?
Look again and again;
Your eyes will come back stumped and conquered."
Quran 67:2-3

We Are Born With Instinctive Knowledge About GOD

Quran 7:172. Recall that your Lord summoned all the descendants of Adam, and had them bear witness for themselves: "Am I not your Lord?" They all said, "Yes. We bear witness." Thus, you cannot say on the Day of Resurrection, "We were not aware of this."

7:173. Nor can you say, "It was our parents who practiced idolatry, and we simply followed in their footsteps. Will You punish us because of what others have innovated?"

7:174. We thus explain the revelations, to enable the people to redeem themselves."

Idol Worship Nullifies All the good Works

Quran 39:65. It has been revealed to you, and to those before you that if you ever commit idol worship, all your works will be nullified, and you will be with the losers.

39:66. Therefore, you shall worship GOD alone, and be appreciative.

The only true GOD is the One who is the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. The One who is Alive and never dies. The One who contains all things but He Himself is uncontained. The One who is not consumed by time but He creates it. The One whose sovereignty extends over all things. The One and Only who issues all commands. The harmony and the order in the creation testify to the Absolute Oneness of the Almighty! To GOD belongs the most sublime similitude. To GOD belongs the most beautiful names in all languages spoken on earth.

Quran 7:180. To GOD belongs the most beautiful names; call Him therewith and disregard those who distort His names. They will be requited for their sins.

O people of the scripture, if what you worship does not qualify to be the "First," you should know that you are not worshiping GOD. You are worshiping an idol. GOD be glorified, He is the Most High, far above any innovations.

John 5:24. Surely, those who listen to my words and believe in Him (GOD) who sent me, they shall have everlasting life. They shall not come into condemnation, but they shall pass from death to life.

O people of the scripture, if you place anything or anyone beside GOD, you should know that you are not worshiping the Absolute GOD. You are not worshiping the Omnipotent, the Omniscient, and the Omnipresent Lord of the universe. You are not worshiping the One and Only GOD, the Creator of all things. GOD is glorified, He is far above needing any partners.

Quran 23:91. GOD has never begotten a son. Nor was there ever any other god beside Him. Otherwise, each god would have declared independence with his creations, and they would have competed with each other for dominance. GOD be glorified; far above their claims.

GOD made a human being of a very base matter, from mud. Then He breathed into him from His own spirit and the man came into being. Thus, man who was formed from mud and GOD's spirit is a two dimensional being; one dimension tends towards mud, lowliness, sedimentation while the other aspires to the loftiest imaginable point possible. Therefore the significance of man's make up lies in the fact that he possesses two poles, mud and the spirit of the Lord. It is up to man to choose where to go, towards mud or providence. O children of Adam, the choice is yours. Do you desire GOD or do you wish to stay stuck in the mud?

Our material being never tires from craving for the material things. The things that our matter can connect with physically or the dead persons that our minds can relate to emotionally. What divides and disintegrates man individually and socially is man's attachment to objects and human beings. This attachment and dependency subconsciously becomes a form of idol worship. Our God is whoever or whatever occupies our mind most. Now ask yourself, who is your god? Yourself and your ego? Your family? Your business? The job or the position you worry about? Or, is it perhaps the tribe of Judah and the land of Israel? Or, is it the "Christ," the Greek version of the "Messiah?" Or, is it Mohammed that the so-called Muslims place his name next to the name of Almighty GOD in their declaration of the faith (Shahaadah)? O people of the scripture, what is wrong with your judgment? Is GOD not sufficient for you, is this why you create for yourselves other gods beside GOD?

When GOD ALONE is mentioned,
The hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion.
But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.
Quran 39:45

When our temporary material life expires and we come out of our bodies, that is when our eternal life of the Hereafter starts. At that instant the matter does not matter any more. And all that we associated with the matter and worshiped will not help us one bit. That is when every soul will find out what lies ahead.

O people, worship only your Lord,
The One who created you and those before you that you may be saved.

The One who made the earth habitable for you and the sky a structure.
He sends down from the sky water to produce all kinds of fruits for your sustenance.
You shall not set up idols to rival GOD, now that you know."
Quran 2:21-22.

Happiness Now, and Forever

Quran 22:15. If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his Creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone else). He will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him.

GOD
You ALONE we worship; You ALONE we ask for help.

Quran 2:5

Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe!

Note: GOD'S Usage of the Plural Tense

In the English speaking world, where the doctrine of "Trinity" is prevalent, some people may be intrigued by GOD's usage of the plural tense in the Quran. The overwhelming message of the Quran, where there is no compromise is that "GOD is the Absolute GOD." This means that He is the One and Only GOD, and there is no other god beside Him (2:133, 163; 4:171; 5:73; 6:19; 9:31; 12:39; 13:16; 14:48, 52; 16:22, 51; 18:110; 21:108; 22:34; 37:4; 38:65; 39:4; 40:16; 41:6;112:1-2).

Whenever the first person plural form is used by the Almighty, it invariably indicates participation of other entities, such as the angels. For example, the revelation of this Quran involved participation of Gabriel and Prophet Mohammad. Hence the use of the plural form in 15:9; "We revealed this scripture, and we will preserve it." The plural form here simply reflects the fact that Gabriel and Prophet Mohammad participated in the process of delivering the Quran.

Another example has to do with blowing the breath of life into Adam and Jesus. The creation of Adam took place in heaven and GOD directly blew into him the breath of life. Thus, the first person singular form is consistently used: "I blew into Adam from My spirit" (15:29, 38:72). The creation of Jesus on the other hand, took place on earth, and Gabriel carried GOD's "Word" to Mary. The plural form is consistently used when referring to the creation of Jesus (21:91, 66:12).

When GOD spoke to Moses directly, without the mediation of angels, we see that GOD is speaking exclusively in the singular tense: "I am GOD. There is no other god besides Me. You shall worship Me alone, and observe the Contact Prayers regularly to commemorate Me," (20:14).

Whenever the worship of GOD is mentioned in the Quran, consistently the singular tense is used (51:56).

"Remembering GOD"
By: Dr. Ahmad Sharbatoghlie, GOD'S messenger in Iran

I seek refuge in GOD from the rejected Satan
In the name of GOD, the Gracious, the Merciful

GOD, the Creator of heavens and the earth, is with us at every moment so long as we remember Him.

[2:152] You shall remember Me, that I may remember you, and be thankful to Me; do not be unappreciative.

The more we praise, glorify, and commemorate GOD, the closer we get to our Creator.

[73:8] You shall commemorate the name of your Lord, to come ever closer and closer to Him.

GOD is closer to us than our parents. The true believers commemorate GOD more than they commemorate their parents.

[2:200] Once you complete your rites, you shall continue to commemorate GOD as you commemorate your own parents, or even better. …

The Glorious Quran has many verses about remembering and commemorating GOD.  It is incumbent upon us to read these verses and contemplate on them. The believers remember GOD at all times while standing, sitting, or lying down. They praise and glorify GOD while reflecting upon the creation of the heavens and the earth.

[3:191] They remember GOD while standing, sitting, and on their sides, and they reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth: "Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain. Be You glorified. Save us from the retribution of Hell.

[4:103] Once you complete your Contact Prayer (Salat), you shall remember GOD while standing, sitting, or lying down. Once the war is over, you shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat); the Contact Prayers (Salat) are decreed for the believers at specific times.

The accursed Satan wants to distract us from remembering GOD. The devil is our worst enemy, he caused the eviction of Adam and Eve from paradise (2:36).  He is committed to take us off the straight path” (7:16). He advocates evil and vice (24:21). The righteous believers fight with the accursed Satan and whenever the devil approaches them with an idea, they remember GOD whereupon they become seers.

[5:91] The devil wants to provoke animosity and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to distract you from remembering GOD, and from observing the Contact Prayers (Salat). Will you then refrain?

[7:201] Those who are righteous, whenever the devil approaches them with an idea, they remember, whereupon they become seers.

We must remember GOD every chance we get. The Quran commands us to say “GOD willing” when we say we want to do anything in the future. If we forget this, we must immediately remember GOD and say, “May my Lord guide me to do better next time.”

[18:23] You shall not say that you will do anything in the future,

[18:24] without saying, "GOD willing." If you forget to do this, you must immediately remember your Lord and say, "May my Lord guide me to do better next time."

The Quran says that the most important function of our Daily Contact Prayers is to remember GOD. While performing our five daily Contact Prayers we must praise and glorify GOD and refrain from mentioning anyone else’s name (e.g., Muhammad, Ali, etc.). Mentioning the name of Muhammad or anyone else's in our Contact Prayers causes us to think of those other than GOD and that would nullify our prayers. Our Contact Prayers must be absolutely dedicated to "GOD Alone."

The number of our Daily Contact Prayers is five (
5), and "GOD Alone" occurs in the Quran five (5) times. These occurrences are in 7:70; 39:45; 40:12, 84; and 60:4. Praise be to GOD; by adding the above nine numbers, we obtain:

7 + 70 + 39 + 45 + 40 + 12 + 84 + 60 + 4 = 361 = 19 x 19
Glory is to GOD; 19 is GOD'S Mathematical Signature.
1 and 9 signify, "The First and the Last,
(
هو الأول والءاخر);
The Beginning and the End; the Alfa and Omega!

(GOD ALONE)
The gematrical value of (
وحده), (ALONE) is 23, (6+8+4+5) and the gematrical value of (الله),(GOD) is 66, (1+30+30+5).
We read Arabic from right to left.
(الله وحده)
23,66

(
قد كانت ءايتي تتلى عليكم فكنتم على أعقبكم تنكصون)
My proofs have been presented to you, but you turned back on your heels.
23:66
(
فبأي ءالاء ربكما تكذبان)
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

"I am GOD; there is no other god beside Me.
You shall worship Me alone, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) to remember Me.
Quran 20:14

When Joseph was in prison he said to one of the two prisoners, the one that was going to be freed, “Remember me at your lord.”  Instead of remembering GOD and depending on Him to be saved from the prison, he showed dependence on other than GOD. Such a serious slip kept Joseph a few more years in the prison. We learn for Joseph’s story that in all circumstances we must remember "GOD Alone" and ask Him for help and guidance
.

[12:42] He then said to the one to be saved "Remember me at your lord." Thus, the devil caused him to forget his Lord, and, consequently, he remained in prison a few more years.

Almighty GOD commanded Moses and Aaron to carry out their mission supported by His signs and then He reminded them to not waver in remembering Him.

[20:42] "Go with your brother, supported by My signs, and do not waver in remembering Me.

We must reflect on our own creation. Almighty GOD created us from dust and subsequently from a tiny drop which turns into an embryo, then it becomes a fetus, and then He bring us out as infants, and then we reach maturity. We must remember GOD and praise and glorify Him for creating us. We must also reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth and how Almighty GOD showers the dead land with rain and brings it back to life and He creates all kinds of beautiful plants.

[22:5] O people, if you have any doubt about resurrection, (remember that) we created you from dust, and subsequently from a tiny drop, which turns into a hanging (embryo), then it becomes a fetus that is given life or deemed lifeless. We thus clarify things for you. We settle in the wombs whatever we will for a predetermined period. We then bring you out as infants, then you reach maturity. While some of you die young, others live to the worst age, only to find out that no more knowledge can be attained beyond a certain limit. Also, you look at a land that is dead, then as soon as we shower it with water, it vibrates with life and grows all kinds of beautiful plants.

 Remember GOD,
Always!

Therefore, you shall glorify GOD when you retire at night, and when you rise in the morning.
Quran 30:17

Our god is whatever occupies our thoughts most of the time. Our god can be our children (7:190), our spouse (9:24), our business (18:35), or our ego (25:43). If Muhammad, Jesus, Ali, Hossain, etc. occupy our minds most of the time, we are idol-worshippers. Hence the commandment, we must remember GOD frequently and glorify Him day and night.

[33:41] O you who believe, you shall remember GOD frequently.

[33:42] You shall glorify Him day and night.

[7:205] You shall remember your Lord within yourself, publicly, privately, and quietly, day and night; do not be unaware.

GOD is the One who provides for us from the heaven and the earth. The food we eat or the water we drink is provided by GOD. How could we ignore all this and not remember GOD, our Provider and Sustainer.

[35:3] O people, remember GOD'S blessings upon you. Is there any creator other than GOD who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? There is no other god beside Him. How could you deviate?

We are repeatedly reminded in the Quran to continue to remember GOD frequently even while we work to seek GOD’S bounties:

[62:10] Once the prayer is completed, you may spread throughout the land to seek GOD'S bounties, and continue to remember GOD frequently, that you may succeed.

Money and children are major distractions in life. A true believer will not allow distractions to take him or her away from remembering GOD.

[63:9] O you who believe, do not be distracted by your money and your children from remembering GOD. Those who do this are the losers.

Our souls are redeemed by remembering the name of our Lord and observing the contact prayers.

[87:14] Successful indeed is the one who redeems his soul.
[87:15] By remembering the name of his Lord, and observing the contact prayers (Salat).

The Effects of Remembering GOD:
GOD'S Remembrance has a profound effect on the hearts of believers.

[8:2] The true believers are those whose hearts tremble when GOD is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited to them, their faith is strengthened, and they trust in their Lord.

[22:35] They are the ones whose hearts tremble upon mentioning GOD, they steadfastly persevere during adversity, they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and from our provisions to them, they give to charity.

Rewards for Commemorating GOD:
(1) Divine Forgiveness:
Almighty GOD has prepared for the commemorating men and women forgiveness and a great recompense.

[33:35] The submitting men, the submitting women, the believing men, the believing women, the obedient men, the obedient women, the truthful men, the truthful women, the steadfast men, the steadfast women, the reverent men, the reverent women, the charitable men, the charitable women, the fasting men, the fasting women, the chaste men, the chaste women, and the men who commemorate GOD frequently, and the commemorating women; GOD has prepared for them forgiveness and a great recompense.

(2) Paradise:
When the believers commit a sinful act and wrong their soul, remember GOD and ask for forgiveness, they will be forgiven. Remembering GOD at the moment of falling in sin is a major deterrent for engaging in the sinful act again. Those who remember GOD after falling in sin out of ignorance, their reward is forgiveness and paradise.

[3:135] If they fall in sin or wrong their souls, they remember GOD and ask forgiveness for their sins―and who forgives the sins except GOD―and they do not persist in sins, knowingly.

[3:136] Their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens with flowing streams; they abide therein forever. What a blessed reward for the workers!

The consequences of not remembering GOD:

(1) Hard and Miserable Life:

Those who fail to remember GOD will have a hard and miserable life.

[20:124] "As for the one who disregards My message (remembrance), he will have a miserable life, and we resurrect him, on the Day of Resurrection, blind."

(2) Devil's Domination:

Those who disregard the command to remember GOD, He appoints a devil to be their constant companion.

[43:36] Anyone who disregards the message of (remembrance of) the Gracious, we appoint a devil to be his/her constant companion.

(3) Deviation from the Straight Path:

Those whose hearts are hardened against GOD’S remembrance they have deviated from the straight path.

[39:22] If GOD renders one's heart content with Submission, he will be following a light from his Lord. Therefore, woe to those whose hearts are hardened against GOD'S message (remembrance); they have gone far astray.

(4) Blindness in the Day of Judgment:
Those who avoid remembering GOD will be resurrected blind on the Day of Judgment.

[20:124] "As for the one who disregards My message (remembrance), he will have a miserable life, and we resurrect him, on the Day of Resurrection, blind."

[20:125] He will say, "My Lord, why did you summon me blind, when I used to be a seer?"
[20:126] He will say, "Because you forgot our revelations when they came to you, you are now forgotten."

(5) Hell is the ultimate consequence:
Those who refrain from remembering GOD are destined for Hell.

[18:100] We will present Hell, on that day, to the disbelievers.
[18:101] They are the ones whose eyes were too veiled to see My message (my remembrance). Nor could they hear.

The blessings that come with GOD'S Remembrance:

(1) Tranquility in heart and rejoice:
Remembering GOD causes peace, tranquility, and contentment. A devoted believer when he or she hears GOD’S name rejoices. A believer, a Submitter to GOD alone, loves GOD more than anything or anyone else. This true love causes his or her heart to rejoice by remembering the Creator of all things.

[13:28] They are the ones whose hearts rejoice in remembering GOD. Absolutely, by remembering GOD, the hearts rejoice.

(2) Prohibiting Evil and Vice:
Performing the Contact Prayers (Salat) is a mean of remembering GOD, it serves as a major deterrent against evil and vice.

[20:14] "I am GOD; there is no other god beside Me. You shall worship Me alone, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) to remember Me.

[29:45] You shall recite what is revealed to you of the scripture, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), for the Contact Prayers prohibit evil and vice. But the remembrance of GOD (through Salat) is the most important objective.* GOD knows everything you do.

(3) Insight
When tempted by the accursed Satan, remembering GOD would open our eyes and strengthen our soul against falling in sin.

[7:201] Those who are righteous, whenever the devil approaches them with an idea, they remember, whereupon they become seers.

O people, praise and glorify GOD, our One and Only Lord!
Commemorate GOD day and night to get ever closer to Him in order to achieve salvation.

I seek refuge in GOD from the rejected Satan
In the Name of GOD, the Gracious, the Merciful

All the Praises and all the Glories Belong to GOD Alone

In general, people are accustomed in praising and glorifying their heroes, prophets, saints, and etc.  The purpose of this writing is to show from the scriptures that all the praises and all the glories belong to GOD Alone.

According to the glorious Quran, all the praises and all the glories belong absolutely to GOD Alone.  In our daily contact prayers, we say, "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universes," (1:2). The Arabic word Al-Hamd, (الحمد), refers to all praises. Therefore, we are prohibited from praising and glorifying human beings.  GOD says in the Quran that all praises in this world and in the Hereafter belong to Him (28:70, 34:1). Also all praise is due to Him in the heavens and the earth (30:18). The emphasis on all-praises is repeated in verses 45:36 and 64:1.

[1:2] Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universes.

[28:70] He is the one GOD; there is no other god beside Him. To Him belongs all praise in this first life, and in the Hereafter. All judgment belongs with Him, and to Him you will be returned.

[34:1] Praise be to GODto whom belongs everything in the heavens and the earth; all praise is also due to Him in the Hereafter. He is the Wise, the Cognizant.

[30:18] All praise is due to Him in the heavens and the earth, throughout the evening, as well as in the middle of your day.

[45:36] To GOD belongs all praise; Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of the universes.

[64:1] Glorifying GOD is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. To Him belongs all kingship, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Omnipotent.

Therefore, to GOD belongs all praises and we are forbidden from praising the dead prophets and saints such as Jesus, Muhammad, Ali, Hussein, etc.  We are also forbidden from praising and glorifying any living beings beside GOD. In our daily conversations we must be careful when we use words of praise and glorification. GOD is the Supreme Being and the Creator of all things. We must only praise and glorify GOD who alone is worthy of all praise, glorification, exaltation, and worship. In reality, all forms of praises and glorification are worship practices should be directed to GOD alone. Without GOD’S help we cannot accomplish any good deeds. By ourselves, we lack the power to perform many tasks that are necessary for our survival.  All powers belong to GOD alone and GOD alone should be praised and glorified.

"Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, in the company of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the LORD; they are studied by all who delight in them. Splendid and majestic is His work; and His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is Gracious and Compassionate."--Psalm 111:1-4

"Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my GOD while I have my being. Do not trust in princes, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. How blessed is he whose help is the GOD of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his GOD; who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; the LORD raises up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous." --Psalm 146:1-8

All the praises belong to Him, the GOD of light, who formed the universes by His might.
We should praise and glorify GOD for guiding us. We could not possibly be guided, if it were not that GOD has guided us.

By GOD'S Grace

[7:43] We will remove all jealousy from their hearts. Rivers will flow beneath them, and they will say, "GOD be praised for guiding us. We could not possibly be guided, if it were not that GOD has guided us. The messengers of our Lord did bring the truth." They will be called: "This is your Paradise. You have inherited it, in return for your works."

One of the characteristics of the believers is that they constantly praise their Lord:

[9:112] They are the repenters, the worshipers, the praisers, the meditators, the bowing and prostrating, the advocators of righteousness and forbidders of evil, and the keepers of GOD'S laws. Give good news to such believers.

Everything in the universes praise His glory. Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies GOD but we do not understand their glorification. The trees, mountains, stars, the thunder, etc. praise and glorify GOD.

[13:13] The thunder praises His glory, and so do the angels, out of reverence for Him. He sends the lightning bolts, which strike in accordance with His will. Yet, they argue about GOD, though His power is awesome.

Everything Glorifies GOD

[17:44] Glorifying Him are the seven universes, the earth, and everyone in them. There is nothing that does not glorify Him, but you do not understand their glorification. He is Clement, Forgiver.

Once GOD saves us from our enemies, we should praise Him for saving us from the evil people:

[23:28] "Once you are settled, together with those who are with you, on the watercraft, you shall say, 'Praise GOD for saving us from the evil people.'

The dead prophets and saints do not need our praise and glorification.  We should praise and glorify the One who is Alive – the One who never dies:

The Prophets and the Saints
Are Dead

[25:58] You shall put your trust in the One who is Alivethe One who never diesand praise Him and glorify Him. He is fully Cognizant of His creatures' sins.

David and Solomon are examples of believers who used to praise and glorify GOD frequently:

David and Solomon

[27:15] We endowed David and Solomon with knowledge, and they said, "Praise GOD for blessing us more than many of His believing servants."

The ones who truly believe in GOD’S revelations are those who fall prostrate upon hearing them and they praise and glorify the Lord without having any pride:

[32:15] The only people who truly believe in our revelations are those who fall prostrate upon hearing them. They glorify and praise their Lord, without any arrogance.

We need to praise and glorify GOD in order to develop our souls.  GOD does not need our praises and glorification.  GOD is the Praiseworthy:

[35:15] O people, you are the ones who need GOD, while GOD is in no need for anyone, the Praiseworthy.

We must praise and glorify GOD, and reverence Him, and observe Him in every chance that we get, before sunrise, at dawn as the stars fade away, when we get up (when we rise in the morning), before sunset, when we retire at night, throughout day and night:

[50:39] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise, and before sunset.

[52:48] You shall steadfastly persevere in carrying out your Lord's commandyou are in our eyesand glorify and praise your Lord when you get up.

[40:55] Therefore, be patient, for GOD's promise is true, and ask forgiveness for your sin, and glorify and praise your Lord night and day.

[33:42] You shall glorify Him day and night.

[30:17] Therefore, you shall glorify GOD when you retire at night, and when you rise in the morning.

[50:39] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise, and before sunset.

[52:49] Also during the night glorify Him, and at dawn as the stars fade away.

[41:38] If they are too arrogant to do this, then those at your Lord glorify Him night and day, without ever tiring.

[48:9] That you people may believe in GOD and His messenger, and reverence Him, and observe Him, and glorify Him, day and night.

[20:130] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise and before sunset. And during the night glorify Him, as well as at both ends of the day, that you may be happy.

Before we implore GOD for forgiveness we must praise and glorify Him:

[110:3] You shall glorify and praise your Lord, and implore Him for forgiveness. He is the Redeemer.

Those who are with GOD are never too proud to worship Him and praise and glorify Him and devotedly fall prostrate before Him:

[7:206] Those at your Lord are never too proud to worship Him; they glorify Him and fall prostrate before Him.

Messengers, prophets, and devoted believers praise and glorify GOD frequently. Moses after imploring His Lord to make Aron his partner in his mission, says that “we may glorify You frequently”:

[20:33] "That we may glorify You frequently.

David, the resourceful, was an obedient servant of GOD and His messenger. He used to glorify GOD night and day:

[38:17] Be patient in the face of their utterances, and remember our servant David, the resourceful; he was obedient.

[38:18] We committed the mountains in his service, glorifying with him night and day.

Abraham, a Saint and a prophet, after GOD granted him Ismail and Isaac, he praised the Lord:

[14:39] "Praise be to GOD for granting me, despite my old age, Ismail and Isaac. My Lord answers the prayers.

There are direct commandments to believers to praise, glorify, extol the Lord and magnify Him constantly:

[15:98] You shall sing the praises of your Lord, and be with the prostrators.

[56:74] You shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.

[69:52] Therefore, you shall glorify the name of your Lord, Most Great.

[76:26] During the night, fall prostrate before Him, and glorify Him many a long night.

[87:1] Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.

[74:3] Extol your Lord.

[17:111] And proclaim: "Praise be to GOD, who has never begotten a son, nor does He have a partner in His kingship, nor does He need any ally out of weakness," and magnify Him constantly.

Learning for Jesus:

Those who praise and glorify mortal human beings such as Jesus, Muhammad, Ali, Hussein, etc. must take notice of Jesus’s profound statement that there is none good but One, that is, GOD.

“And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”–Matthew 19:17

“And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.”–Mark 10:8

“And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.”–Luke 18:19

Thus if a righteous prophet such a Jesus does not call himself good why should we exalt, praise, and glorify other human beings.  As Jesus said none is good, save one, that is, GOD.

GOD Alone is to be Exalted:
In the scriptures we read that only GOD’S name alone is to be exalted.

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven. Psalm 148:13

Human pride will be brought down, and human arrogance will be humbled. Only the LORD will be exalted on that day of judgment. Isaiah 2:11

According to the Quran, no human being should exalt another human being. Only GOD is the One who exalts whomever He wills:

[4:49] Have you noted those who exalt themselves? Instead, GOD is the One who exalts whomever He wills, without the least injustice.

Prophets and messengers of GOD debunk those who exalt them. GOD says in the Quran that He reserves the abode of the Hereafter for those who do not seek exaltation on earth:

[28:83] We reserve the abode of the Hereafter for those who do not seek exaltation on earth, nor corruption. The ultimate victory belongs to the righteous.

GOD commands us in the Quran that we must not exalt ourselves:

[53:32] They avoid gross sins and transgressions, except for minor offenses. Your Lord's forgiveness is immense. He has been fully aware of you since He initiated you from the earth, and while you were embryos in your mothers' bellies. Therefore, do not exalt yourselves; He is fully aware of the righteous.

Nowhere in the Quran we find a prophet or a messenger of GOD exalting another human being. Only GOD exalts whomever He chooses to higher ranks:

[24:36] (God's guidance is found) in houses exalted by GOD, for His name is commemorated therein. Glorifying Him therein, day and night―

[94:4] We exalted you to an honorable position.

[12:76] ... We exalt whomever we choose to higher ranks. Above every knowledgeable one, there is one who is even more knowledgeable.

[6:83] Such was our argument, with which we supported Abraham against his people. We exalt whomever we will to higher ranks. Your Lord is Most Wise, Omniscient.

Higher Ranks for the Strivers

[4:95] Not equal are the sedentary among the believers who are not handicapped, and those who strive in the cause of GOD with their money and their lives. GOD exalts the strivers with their money and their lives above the sedentary. For both, GOD promises salvation, but GOD exalts the strivers over the sedentary with a great recompense.

[3:55] Thus, GOD said, "O Jesus, I am terminating your life, raising you to Me, and ridding you of the disbelievers. I will exalt those who follow you above those who disbelieve, till the Day of Resurrection.

We are prohibited from exalting other human beings. Only GOD exalts whomever He chooses from among His servants.  Exalting another human being besides GOD is to set up partners with the Creator of all things. GOD poses a profound question in the Quran. Who is the One who guides you in the darkness of the land and sea? Who is the One who sends the winds with good news signaling His mercy?  Is it prophet Muhammad, Ali, or Hussein, etc., or GOD Almighty? Therefore, only His Name must be exalted. GOD be glorified far above having any partners.

[27:63] Who is the One who guides you in the darkness of the land and sea? Who is the One who sends the winds with good news, signaling His mercy? Is it another god with GOD? Most exalted is GOD, far above having any partner.

[28:68] Your Lord is the One who creates whatever He wills, and chooses; no one else does any choosing. Glory be to GOD, the Most Exalted. He is far above needing partners.

[23:92] The Knower of all secrets and declarations; be He exalted, far above having a partner.

GOD cites the example of a couple who desire to have a baby. They implore GOD their Lord: “if You give us a good baby, we will be appreciative.” As soon as GOD gives them a good baby, they promote the baby, intensify their love, exalt the baby and thus set up a partner with GOD:

[7:189] He created you from one person (Adam). Subsequently, He gives every man a mate to find tranquility with her. She then carries a light load that she can hardly notice. As the load gets heavier, they implore GOD their Lord: "If You give us a good baby, we will be appreciative."

[7:190] But when He gives them a good baby, they turn His gift into an idol that rivals Him. GOD be exalted, far above any partnership.

In all circumstances we must only exalt our Creator and Sustainer, the Omnipotent, Omniscient GOD.

Only GOD is to be Glorified:
According to the bible, we must only glorify GOD and not anyone else besides Him.

“I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carven idols.” Isaiah 42:8

Therefore, the Almighty GOD does not share His glory nor His praise with anyone else including human and carved idols. All praise and glory belongs to GOD alone, not to us.  We do not have anything within us that deserves glory.  The Lord alone must be praised, glorified, and exalted.

The Angels Praise and Glorify GOD:
The angels floating around the throne praise and glorify their Lord and ask forgiveness for those who believe.

[39:75] You will see the angels floating around the throne, glorifying and praising their Lord. After the equitable judgment is issued to all, it will be proclaimed: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."

[40:7] Those who serve the throne and all those around it glorify and praise their Lord, and believe in Him. And they ask forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord, Your mercy and Your knowledge encompass all things. Forgive those who repent and follow Your path, and spare them the retribution of Hell.

[42:5] The heavens above them almost shatter, out of reverence for Him, and the angels praise and glorify their Lord, and they ask forgiveness for those on earth. Absolutely, GOD is the Forgiver, Most Merciful.

Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Psalm 148:2

Similar to the angels, devote believers praise, glorify, and magnify the Almighty GOD constantly.

Eulogy:

All forms of eulogy, meaning praising, glorifying, and exalting, for human beings are forbidden in Islam.  Eulogy and Madahi (مداحی) for Imam Hussein is tantamount to idol worship. Every year millions of the so called Muslims around the world commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein in Karbala. They praise and glorify Imam Hussein in processions using dramatic techniques such as self-beating and recite eulogies. Some of these eulogies exalt Imam Hussein to the level of GOD. The Shias exalt, praise, and glorify other Imams too. One of the famous eulogists on the birthday of Imam Reza in 1379 (Persian calendar) that was broadcasting from TVs in Iran was reciting:

آدمي؟ حوري؟ خدايي؟ كيستي؟
گر تو ايزد نيستي پس كيستي
؟

Are you human? Angel? God? Who are you?
If you are not God, then who are you?

The idol-worshipping practices have grown to an extent that there is a university department of eulogy created in Iran for praising and glorifying the Shia Imams (see https://www.yjc.ir/fa/news/5231390/ Accessed January 23, 2019). The wrath of GOD is upon Satan and his agents! All the praises and all the glories are due to the One and Only GOD!!

Being Thankful to GOD Alone:
Since all blessings and everything that is good comes from GOD, we must only thank our Lord. It is GOD who has created the food that we eat, the shelter that we are housed, the clothing that we wear, the knowledge that we acquire, the money that we earn, and everything that we need for our survival.  Throughout the Quran, only being thankful to GOD is endorsed.  Nowhere we find in the Quran a messenger or a prophet thanking others.  We must be thankful to GOD Alone.

[2:152] You shall remember Me, that I may remember you, and be thankful to Me; do not be unappreciative.

[2:172] O you who believe, eat from the good things we provided for you, and be thankful to GOD, if you do worship Him alone.

[14:7] Your Lord has decreed: "The more you thank Me, the more I give you." But if you turn unappreciative, then My retribution is severe.

[56:68] Have you noted the water you drink?

[56:69] Did you send it down from the clouds, or did we?

[56:70] If we will, we can make it salty. You should be thankful.

Yes, we should be thankful to GOD for the sweet drinking water that he sends down from the clouds and we should praise and glorify Him alone.

In verses 76:5-9, Almighty GOD talks about His servants that are in Paradise. They are the ones who fulfill their pledges, donate their favorite food to the poor, the orphan, and the captive, and expect no reward from people nor thanks.

[76:7] They fulfill their pledges, and reverence a day that is extremely difficult.

[76:8] They donate their favorite food to the poor, the orphan, and the captive.

[76:9] "We feed you for the sake of GOD; we expect no reward from you, nor thanks.

Therefore, GOD’S servants do not expect any reward from people or thanks for their righteous deeds done for the sake of GOD.  Thus all thanks belong to GOD Alone.

[30:33] When adversity afflicts the people, they turn to their Lord, totally devoting themselves to Him. But then, as soon as He showers them with mercy, some of them revert to idol worship.*

*Footnote 30:33 in the Authorized Translation of the Quran by Dr. Rashad Khalifa, GOD'S messenger of the Covenant: A common example is the classified advertisements we note in the newspapers, placed by people thanking St. Jude for healing them. Before undergoing surgery, they sincerely implore GOD to heal them. But as soon as the surgery succeeds, they thank St. Jude!!!

Therefore, all thanks should be directed to GOD Alone.

Examples of Thanking GOD:
In different occasions we should thank and praise GOD instead of thanking and praising people. The following are some examples:

I thank GOD for having a teacher like you.

I thank GOD for receiving this gift from you.

I thank GOD for the opportunity to speak in this event.

I thank GOD for your kindness.

Praise be to GOD for blessing me with a mother like you.

Anytime we receive a blessing we should immediately think about praising GOD. When our father works to send us to school in order for us to get educated we should praise and glorify GOD for having a good father. When our mother prepares meals for us to eat we should praise and glorify GOD for having a good mother. When we receive a good lesson from a teacher we should praise and glorify GOD for having a good teacher. The Hadith that says “Anyone who does not thank the creature has not been grateful to the Creator,” is erroneous. We must be thankful exclusively to the Creator and refrain from thanking, praising, and glorifying His creatures. Our social norm must be transformed from exalting human beings to praising and glorifying the Omnipotent and the Omniscient GOD.
Glory is to GOD; He is the One who created us. GOD is the one who has given us eyes with which we can see, ears with which we can hear, and the brain with which we can think and ponder on GOD'S creation to our advantage. Glory is to GOD; He is the One who provides food for us, and He is the One who is teaching us by the mean of the pen, 96:4! I
f we are to achieve Happiness in this life and in the life of the Hereafter, we must change our cultures from being centered around humans to the culture that is  centered around the Mighty GOD, our Creator. Worship GOD Alone without idolizing anyone or anything beside Him!
